This a family business and has been part of the McCawley family since 1954 but as you can see in the above photo it has serviced the local community since pre 1902. The business today still has that old type feel in it's diverseness. You can get fuel for the fire, food for the belly in the grocers, food for the mind with the newspapers, and a drop or two from the Bar to warm your heart while you wait. If you should meet your maker well that's covered too. Really and truly the one stop shop.

The Society was founded in 2002 and the founding members are still part of the society today.

Our membership from year to year has been well supported giving us a average of 45 - 55 members each year.

The society is also supported by the local community and sponsored by local businesses for which we are hugely grateful. The society also contributes and donates to local projects and charities as part of it's mandate even though it is a non profit organisation.

The Society strives to accommodate at least one society outing each month at various golf courses across the midlands and nationwide. This would not be possible without the hard work carried out by our committee who have volunteered their time to run the Society.

One of our highlights of the year is our weekend away which allows members/partners and guests time to socialise in a relaxed atmosphere away from home and is hugely popular.
